We all love our dogs unconditionally but work, school and life tends to get in the way. Johnny and I are always guilty of neglecting poor Bronte.

For those that don’t know, Bronte is the newest addition to our family. She’s a Frenchie so you know how much she loves her food and sleep. It’s all she ever does, eats and sleeps all day. I guess it really does runs in the family!

Poor Bronte has been stuck at home all week and dying to get outside. Since the sun is finally out, we thought why not bring Bronte along for brunch.
This week the team at Espresso Room in Northcote invited us down to try out their menu. We checked Zomato just to make sure there were outdoor seats for little Bronte. We always make sure to check Zomato before eating out anywhere, it lets us know what to expect. What about you? What’s your rule of thumb?

Perfect ! Plenty of outdoor seats and if you look closely there’s even a dog chilling right beside the shade. Dog friendly, confirmed. One final check before we head out, Google maps. I always gotta make sure it’s not too far or else you know how mister grumpy pants gets about far drives.

Only 30 minutes away so I shouldn’t have to worry about Johnny losing his marbles or Bronte pissing her pants.
Getting there was easy but parking was quite tricky on a Saturday morning. Everyone was out and about doing their weekend shopping. Luckily we managed to squeeze into a spot right beside the cafe.
It was only 9 in the morning and the place was already full of life. Sun shining, people chattering and dogs chilling. There were more dogs here then we expected, quite the dog haven of the north.
We found ourselves a spot right in the sun and right beside the door. Great for Bronte and for our tummies. We were starving and in serious need of a refuel. The family cafe was really quick on their feet, everything moved seamlessly. Before we knew it, our drinks had arrived.

Thick Oreo milkshake and a fresh carrot juice cleanse. Guess who ordered which drinks ?
This ones a no brainer, drop your guesses below! If you’ve been following our brunch adventures, you’d know how much I love my Oreo shakes. I’ve had my fair share of Oreo shakes from the good to the bad. I’d have to say, this one is definitely up there on the list.
Crunchy Oreo bits, with the perfect blend of cream, chocolate syrup and milk. It was so good it gave me a morning brain freeze but totally worth it.

Then came the pancake stack! Beautifully plated fluffy stacks of goodness with fruits, nuts and a serving of ice cream on top. Now that’s how we like to start off our day! The fluffy texture was on point, just the right balance you’d want in your pancakes. It was one gigantic sugar bomb but if we were to die today, it’d be worth every single bite.

Johnny went for the granola bowl served with quinoa, fruits, muesli and almond milk.
He just started his summer shred so no pancakes for him. Cute little bowl of nourishment, all the vitamins and minerals you’d possibly need.
It’s quite a small serving so if you were to order this, you might want to order an extra side. Unless you’re like Johnny and that summer body is more important than your appetite. You do you, no judgment at all. Cough cough.

We were so obsessed with our brunch that we completely forgot about Bronte! All the brunch spread pics and pancakes snaps…

But no pics of cute little Bronte. Sorry guys! I know you’ve been dying to see more of Bronte’s first brunch outing but the food got the better of us.
No need to worry though, the weather is looking even better next week so if you want to see more of Bronte make sure you show your support below and we’ll take her out for another brunch adventure!
That brings this weeks brunching blog to an end…for now. We really appreciate the support and love from everyone.
Stay tuned for more brunch adventures coming your way. Make sure you follow us on Instagram and Zomato to keep updated with our latest food adventures.Ciao!
